The City of O'Fallon developed this project as a pro-active, natural approach to helping control the mosquito population. Boy Scouts from Troop 858 eagerly came out to Civic Park to construct a half-dozen birdhouses that had been donated for this project. The finished birdhouses will be placed at several O'Fallon parks. Troop 858 is an active troop of 70 scouts, annually providing 600 hours of community service.
